An air cleaner, also known as an air purifier, is a device that removes contaminants from the air to improve indoor air quality. These devices are often used to help people with allergies or asthma, or to reduce secondhand smoke. They work by using a fan to pull air into the unit, where it passes through a filter to trap unwanted particles before the cleaned air is circulated back into the room.

Unlike traditional air filters that rely solely on a mesh or media to physically trap particles, an EAC uses an electrical charge to capture microscopic airborne contaminants.

Unlike a traditional single-thermostat system that treats the entire structure as one area, zoning allows you to set and maintain different temperatures in different parts of your home, such as the upstairs, downstairs, or an infrequently used room.
